Government Computing interview: Peter Cruickshank emphasises the need for human support for e-petitioners

In an overview of e-petitions in the latest issue of Government Computing, Kable (part of the Guardian Media group) surveyed experiences and practices across the UK, including the positive experience of the e-petitioning system which the ITC helped design with the Scottish Parliament.

Peter emphasised the benefits from thinking about the human side of the process - for instance petitioners have gained help from the Parliament itself in drafting a clear and answerable petition, and access to the system can only be broadened by going out to excluded communities.
