Information
These elections are being held to populate Napier's Academic Board under its new Constitution, which
was agreed by University Court in June 2006. The detailed Constitution, General Regulations for the Elections
and other relevant information (including the Report of the Review of Effectiveness of Academic Board) is available
on the Secretariat website:
www.napier.ac.uk/deptsmas/Sms/Home.htm
Contested Positions
The following positions on the Board are being contested:
- One member of academic staff elected by and from the School of Computing (excluding the Associate Dean and Head of School)
- One member of academic staff elected by and from the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Care (excluding the Associate Dean and Head of School)
Elections will be held on this website. More information about the candidates will be posted here by the end of the week.
This XL spread sheet (opens in a new window) summarises the nominations received, including contested, uncontested and vacant positions.
The elected positions on the Board are intended to provide a broad spread of representation from across the University and all full-time academic staff and those with part-time, but permanent contracts, are eligible to stand, vote and otherwise participate in the electoral process. Academic staff not normally in faculties can take part in the area most closely aligned to their academic discipline.
