The 16 page discussion and consultation paper Education for Citizenship in Scotland has 24 questions organised under 4 main headings. You can read the paper here by picking a section from the contents list at the top of this page. Just follow the links from the questions to the Comment page. There you can respond in several ways according to the type of question:-

  • add your comment and reply to others
  • state whether you agree with a point
  • give a rating according to how much you agree with a point.

To take part in the consultation we recommend that you first read the consultation paper. When you respond to the questions in it, we will ask you to login. This only takes a minute, and you don't need to login to see how others have responded.

For an easy-to-print version download the Acrobat (pdf) file.

Remember to check the LT Scotland site for the latest news on the consultation. You can also send a written response, either as an individual or on behalf of an organisation you represent to Dr Denis Stewart, Assistant Chief Executive Educational Development, Learning and Teaching Scotland, Gardyne Road, Broughty Ferry, Dundee DD5 1NY.

It's already being done!
It is intended that a range of examples of interesting and effective approaches to education for citizenship will be documented and published by LT Scotland. So if you know of examples that might usefully be shared please e-mail Citizenship@LTScotland.com
